Hello!
We hope you're all well and staying warm (or keeping cool, depending on the hour - this weather has been crazy!)
As lovers of the great outdoors (and bringing it inside when we can!) we couldn't pass up the opportunity this week to visit the amazing Gardeners' World Live (and on our home turf too!) at Birmingham's NEC. The show runs for 4 days, and we decided to book an impromptu day off and go and explore what the show had to offer!
There were some absolutely gorgeous plants on display and for sale! There was a strong 'Cottagecore' vibe throughout the Floral Marquee, with lots of unusual plants for sale, as well as some beautiful show gardens!
The Floral Marquee was also the home of The International Orchid Show this year! It was inspirational to see growers coming together and growing amazing varieties of such beautiful plants! There really was something for everyone!
The displays were amazing! These guys grow various varieties of "Trumpet Pitchers" (I didn't know either ha!) I couldn't pass up on an awesome gothic-looking Sarracenia cv Bella - I'd rather type that than say it! I also found out they prefer rain water, which seems odd for a house plant, but I suppose it makes sense given where they grow! (Mom told me that one.)
There were lots of displays, including a series of wheelbarrow gardens designed by different schools! What a brilliant way to encourage a love of nature with the little ones!
...and finally some more retail therapy in one of the other halls! There were some lovely vendors (and quirky names!) who all shared a passion for plants. All in all, a bloomin' lovely day.
And for those who didn't want the experience to end, you could add your own piece of Monty's wardrobe to your collection!
P.S. Did I mention we got a wicked goody bag included? Best day ever.
Thanks for sharing our adventures with us. We hope you have some exciting plans on the horizon. (Did YOU go to Gardeners' World Live this year?!)
If not, we're hoping you're staying cosy at home! See you soon!
Don't forget, we're still offering FREE UK delivery on orders over £40.
Thank you, as ever for your continued support!
