With a little over a week to go, party or no party, big or small, we hope these tips can help you to slow down and enjoy some of what the season has to offer! Perhaps there are a few ideas here that you can do together, with your fellow 'kindred spirits!'
Hi all! It’s been a while! With everything that’s been going on in the world lately, we thought it was good opportunity to show you a little of our previous (non-essential) isolation from a slightly more carefree time a few weeks ago. As wannabe minimalists - which can be tricky with all that vintage china! & wannabe owners of their own Hobbit House out in the woods one day - which might prove difficult as Dan is 6’4”! - we thought we’d test out our would-be lifestyle courtesy of somebody who has taken the step! We have a HUGE LOTR fan in our party, which helped to make the decision as to whether we opted for the Hobbit House or...
On Day 2 of our Halloween mini break (always Halloween in my heart - I never have a break from it!) we went back down to York - a place we’ve loved forever! I’m pretty confident that heaven looks like Betty’s; we love a good rummage through the antique shops & the place has so much Halloweeny history we had to spend the evening there.
We couldn’t let the best time of year go by without our yearly pilgrimage to some of our favourite haunts! This year we travelled to the place of Dracula (& the occasional goth!) with 2 things on my mind - the Illuminated Abbey event & chips. We had so much fun, managed to bag a lot of free tasty gin samples (dangerous down the 199 steps) & got to spot some of THE best decked out Halloween windows the town had to offer!
Check out our edited* (it was VERY hard to be selective of photos!) photo album of our fave spots & what we got up to!
Thanks!
